Primary Bedroom & Bathroom

Every year since they moved in, the sellers put a lot of love and time into updating this home and turning it into the beauty you see today. Some of the interior updates include but are not limited to a complete kitchen renovation, updated bathrooms, all new windows, a custom back door, a utility sink in the laundry room, and waterproof luxury vinyl floors. With its open floor plan and natural light, this home is perfect for entertaining indoors or out.

We asked them to sit down and tell us more about this home and its surrounding area.

Here are 6 things they think you should know:

The Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is friendly, diverse, and fun. From original owners to young families and we have a wide range of ages in our neighborhood. We also have two precious ladies who operate in-home daycares; one is where we have taken all of our children.

You’ll also see folks walking, jogging, and heading to work out at the gym around the corner. It’s common to see garages open and sports watching parties happening any time the weather is nice. We know all of our next-door neighbors and even more throughout the neighborhood.

Town & Area

The central Plano area is wonderfully situated between the charm of downtown and the new trends at Legacy. You’ll pass by the Haggard Farm with cattle, horses, and llamas daily and be at Costco in 5 minutes. There is easy access to The Texas Pool or Jack Carter Pools in the summer and many parks and preserves in the area. We also frequent CityLine in Richardson and Watters Creek in Allen for dining and family fun.

We love to try new restaurants, explore Oak Point Nature Preserve, and take the kids to fun places like Crayola or Heritage Farm.

The things I love about Plano are its big-city conveniences with a quaint downtown feel, great parks and restaurants, convenient location and proximity to the rest of DFW, great schools, kid-friendly activities, and fun areas like Legacy West.

Secondary Bedrooms & Full Bath

Schools

Our children are 5 and under, so we haven’t used the public schools, but there are incredible daycares, preschools, and Mother’s Day out programs within 5 minutes from the house. We’ve used Mera Gurukul on Snapdragon, Lionheart on Premier, and Custer Road Christian Day School. The owner of the Montessori next door is wonderful and completely updated it in the last 2 years to be a beautiful state-of-the-art childcare facility.

Family Room

Shopping

There are so many places to shop for groceries and other household items. Within a 5 mile radius, there’s Kroger, Tom Thumb, Walmart Market, Hirsch’s Meat Market, Costco, Sam’s, Walmart & Target. We walk to Target & Starbucks often. Home Depot, Lowes, & Academy are just up Premier Dr. Michael’s, DSW, Hobby Lobby, Floor & Décor, and more are just down Alma Dr. There is literally anything you could need within 5-10 minutes.

Dining

Some of our favorite restaurants nearby are Bavarian Grill, Chuys, Kumars, First Watch, Pancake House, Peri Peri Chicken, Good Union, Tokyo Harbor, Fishmongers, Marinara Pizza, Norma’s, Henry’s Ice Cream, Little Greek, Mudleaf Coffee, Krista’s, Red Truck Cafe and lots more.

Kitchen, Laundry Room & Half Bath

Utilities

With the new windows and updates we’ve done over the years, our utilities have gone down. We have Atmos Energy (natural gas) for the stove, furnace, and fireplace. We do have fiber optic and use Frontier for the internet. Reliant Energy for electricity and the city for water and sewage.

Bonus: Double Lot = Double Fun & Relaxation

Back Patio & Fire Pit Seating Area
Front Yard, South Yard and North Yard

The sellers say, “It’s been a wonderful home in a quiet, established neighborhood. We love the convenience of this location and the rare double lot. It was the selling point for us back then, and that hasn’t changed but only grown over time. We love relaxing on the back patio and watching TV, enjoying s’mores by the fire pit, and hosting parties in this wonderful floor plan.”
