Congratulations to The City of Allen, Texas for being named one of the 10 Best Towns for Families by Family Circle magazine.

In it’s seventh annual list, Family Circle magazine has named the country’s top towns that provide affordable housing options, green public spaces, strong school systems and neighbors to count on. The 10 Best Towns for Families is featured in the August 2013 issue which hit newsstands on July 2.

Among other things, Allen was noted for their new $60 million football stadium, a 1,500-seat performing arts center and a career technology program where teens can explore potential careers in business, engineering and more.

It was also noted that The Foundation for Allen Schools awards some $150,000 yearly in college scholarships and grants to public school teachers for innovative class projects. This year it raised $85,000 through a 5K and a family fun run.

Allen, Texas is a great town with a lot to offer growing families.
