At 5 Loaves, your gift doesn’t just fill a box; it helps lift a burden. We meet people where they are with food, compassion, and consistent care. Then, we walk with them toward lasting stability through mentorship, encouragement, and practical programs.

More than a pantry, 5 Loaves is where people are seen, known, and supported. With dignity, consistency, and love, we help neighbors take meaningful steps forward together.

But we don’t stop at the box. We walk with families toward long-term stability, offering consistent care, one-on-one encouragement, and relationship-driven programs. Whether giving, serving, or seeking help, we welcome you with open arms.

Because real change starts with compassion and grows through consistency.

The Food Pantry

Fighting Hunger. Feeding Hope.

5 Loaves Ministries with AlFood insecurity doesn’t always look like what you expect. Here in northeast DFW, families quietly face impossible choices between food, housing, medicine, and utilities, many suffering in silence.

That’s where we come in.

At 5 Loaves Ministries, we believe no one in our community should go hungry. Our food pantry is the heartbeat of our mission — providing weekly groceries to hundreds of families, with no strings attached. Whether someone needs help this week or long-term support, we’re here with open arms, full hearts, and fresh food.

The Mustard Seed Project

More Than a Handout. A Hand Up.

Donations to 5 Loaves Ministries are WelcomeThe Mustard Seed Project is a transformational program for families who are ready to take meaningful steps toward stability, growth, and a brighter future. This program is designed for individuals who are serious about making lasting changes in their lives and breaking the cycles of poverty and food insecurity.

Each family is paired with a mentor who walks beside them throughout their journey—offering encouragement, accountability, and guidance as they make important decisions for their home, finances, and future. Participants also work closely with a financial counselor to create a realistic, livable budget and develop healthy financial habits that support long-term stability.

Because strong families start with strong foundations for children, the Mustard Seed Project also places a special emphasis on the well-being and development of kids. Families receive help with childcare, opportunities for children to learn and grow, and resources to ensure they are on the right path from the start.

The Mustard Seed Project is more than a program—it’s a partnership. It’s a commitment to walking with families as they plant small seeds of change that lead to lasting transformation. Together, we’re building stronger families, stronger futures, and a stronger community.

“If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday.”— Isaiah 58:10 (ESV)

 What We Offer:

  • One-on-One Mentoring;
  • Budget Coaching and Life Planning;
  • Referrals for counseling, housing, and job training;
  • Ongoing Encouragement and accountability…

And opportunities to give back once stabilized! This isn’t a program of perfection. It’s a path for progress, and we walk it together.

The Mustard Seed Project exists to close that gap by offering practical help and personal guidance so that no one has to navigate hardship alone.

Transition To Life

Real Skills. Real Confidence.

At 5 Loaves Ministries, we believe every person deserves a chance to contribute, grow, and thrive regardless of ability. Our Transition to Life program partners with local school districts to help students with special needs build essential job skills in a supportive, real-world environment.

Confidence doesn’t come from the classroom alone. It comes from being seen, included, and empowered to succeed.

What we offer:

Through partnerships with Garland ISD and Wylie ISD, students come to 5 Loaves Ministries during the school year to: Stock shelves, prepare and hand out donations; Build independence through hands-on tasks; Learn soft skills like responsibility, teamwork, and punctuality; Discover their value and capability through consistent encouragement.

During the summer, we continue this mission through our partnership with Work Ready Texas, allowing students to keep learning, working, and progressing all year.

Why It Matters

Many young adults with disabilities struggle to find inclusive opportunities that help them grow beyond the classroom. Without programs like Transition to Life, they may face isolation, underemployment, or low self-confidence.

At 5 Loaves, we’re changing that: one shelf, one snack, one student at a time.

Transition to Life at 5 Loaves Ministries offers students a meaningful opportunity to learn real-world job skills in a supportive, community-centered environment.

Through partnerships with Garland ISD, Wylie ISD, and Work Ready Texas, we help young adults with disabilities gain confidence, build independence, and develop workplace habits they can carry into the future. From stocking shelves to learning teamwork, students become part of something bigger, making a difference while discovering their strengths.

We’d love to connect if you’re a parent, teacher, or case manager looking for a job-readiness program that values inclusion, dignity, and growth.
